Big fan of the Jornkrak deal. Lots of value there for a long time and he's young.

Great deal for the Preds, assuming Jarnkrok continues to ascend into/be a solid top 9 forward. Little surprising that with the contracts that get thrown around nowadays, that he signed for six years, almost assuredly leaving money on the table a few years down the road. It is refreshing however, to see a player buy into a team, choosing comfort and a good chance to win, over chasing every dollar though.

Unreal deal on Jarnkrok! It remins me a lot of the Frans Nielsen contract with the Islanders way back. Not a lot of risk for the team and the player is possibly leaving a lot of money on the table. But hey, 12 million is a lot of money!

Looking back at the Nielsen deal, after his ELC, he signed for an AAV of 525K for 4 years and then another 4 years at below 3 million. Overall, the Islanders got him for 8 years at an average of 1.6 million per season. Incredible value!

Hopefully he can get back to the game he played under laviolette in Philly. Then he leaned alot on pronger, and now he has the most solid top4 in the League to lean on. Could work out as a good 5th defensemen in the playoffs to eat some minutes and let the regulars get some rest.

Hes been really bad for us but he seems like a nice, a bit asbergerisch, guy so i will cher for him turning it around.

It also reminds me of the Josh Bailey deal with the Islanders too. That one didn't work out quite as well though

Jarnkrok wants stability and guaranteed money. One reason he was traded to Nashville was he threatened Detroit that he would go back to Sweden if they didn't put him in the NHL.
